Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and cannot do inside the platform. This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violations can lead to removed content, suspended accounts, and notification of your program.

Most Important Rule

No protected health information

Do not enter information about real patients into the platform. That includes, but is not limited to: names, dates of birth, dates of service, addresses, hospital names, agency names, medical record numbers, photos, or any other detail that could identify a specific person you have treated.

When an activity asks you to reflect on a clinical experience, describe the situation in general terms or use the already-fabricated cases in the case bank. Strip identifiers before you type. If you are not sure whether a detail is identifying, leave it out.

Why this matters: identifiable patient information you bring into our platform creates a HIPAA breach for the agency where the patient was treated and a violation of your clinical site's confidentiality rules. We do not have Business Associate Agreements with any home health agency, hospital, or clinic. Any PHI introduced to the platform is an unauthorized disclosure.

Section 2

Academic integrity

You agree not to:

  • Submit work that is not your own, including copy-paste from another student, an answer key, or a generative AI tool, unless explicitly permitted by the activity instructions
  • Share quiz questions, answer keys, or instructor feedback outside your cohort
  • Coordinate with other students to evade an assignment's stated rules
  • Misrepresent your identity, your credentials, or your institutional affiliation

Your program's honor code applies to your use of the platform. Where the platform's rules and your program's honor code differ, the stricter standard controls.

Section 3

Conduct toward other users

Treat classmates, faculty, and platform staff with respect. Do not:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk anyone
  • Discriminate against anyone on the basis of protected characteristics, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability
  • Post sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm
  • Impersonate another user or member of platform staff
Section 4

Platform security and integrity

You agree not to:

  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the platform without prior written authorization through security@thehomehealthpro.com
  • Attempt to access an account, organization, or record that is not yours
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the platform
  • Use automated tools to scrape content, including curriculum modules, the case bank, exercise library, or resource downloads
  • Send malware, viruses, or other harmful code through any feature of the platform
  • Interfere with the platform's normal operation, including by overloading endpoints or evading rate limits
Section 5

Commercial use and republication

The platform and its content are licensed to your institution for educational use. You may not republish, sell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute curriculum modules, the case bank, instructor materials, exercise library content, or downloadable templates outside the bounds of your coursework. You may share completed work with future employers as part of a portfolio with attribution to The Home Health Pro.

Section 6

Removal, suspension, and reporting

We may remove content that violates this policy at our discretion, with or without prior notice. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate this policy or that create immediate risk to other users, to patient privacy, or to platform integrity. For violations involving suspected PHI disclosure or academic dishonesty, we will notify your program director.

To report a violation, write to support@thehomehealthpro.com. Include a link or screenshot of the content, the username if known, and a brief description of the issue. We acknowledge reports within two business days and act on confirmed violations within ten business days.
